Simulated Emergency Test (SET) Saturday, October 6, 2018 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

The annual ARRL / ARES Simulated Emergency Test (SET) in Lawrence County, Ohio will take place Saturday, October 6, 2018 starting at 8:30 am and will continue until 1:00 pm.  The event will begin at the Lawrence County, Ohio EMA EOC 515 Park Avenue, Ohio 45680.   Bring your “To Go Bag”, ARES vest, hat, and ID cards.  For additional details contact Ed Jenkins, N8URU, Lawrence County, Ohio ARES, EC.

Beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, October the 6th, Lawrence County ARES will be participating the annual Simulated Emergency Test. This years test will simulate a severe winter storm that moves across the Midwestern United States. There will be radio traffic that reflect what Amateur Radio Operators will use as they assist the Red Cross and Emergency Management Agency to gather information on the damage to homes, businesses, roads, and bridges. If you happen to hear or see anything unusual, just remember this is only an exercise.
